Macau Tower Convention
& Entertainment Centre

All visitors should visit the Macau Tower which is the tenth tallest free-standing tower in the world. This popular landmark offers all an observation deck with panoramic views, restaurants, theaters, shopping malls and a thrilling walking tour around the outer rim + bungee jumping.
The Macau Tower, also known as Macau Sky Tower, measures 338 m (1,109 ft) in height from ground level to the highest point.

In a clear day the Macau Tower offers a great view of Macau and in some days you can also see Hong Kong.
How did the tower come to be? It was never on the government's planning board (if there is any). Well it seems that on a visit to Auckland, New Zealand, Macau casino billionaire Stanley Ho Hung-Sun was so impressed by the Sky Tower in Auckland that he commissioned a similar one to be built in Macau.
The Macau tower was designed by New Zealand engineering firm Beca and Gordon Moller of Craig Craig Moller architects for Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, SARL. Construction work of the tower started in 1998, and the tower was officially opened on December 19, 2001.
Today, the tower is one of the members of the World Federation of Great Towers. Besides being used for observation and entertainment, the tower is also used for telecommunications and broadcasting.
The New Lotus Symbol
After going around Macau you should have noticed that the Lotus flower is the symbol of the modern Macau. The Macau Tower is almost designed like a lotus. In this way tradition and technology is united.
The Macau Tower faces the outer harbor opposite the inslands of Taipa and Coloane.

Team Building Exercises
The Macau Tower is also one the world's most exciting Teamwork meeting places

You could also test for teamwork and trust by trying on the Skywalk X, created by AJ Hackett of bungee jumping fame, which is conducted on the outside observation platform on the 61st floor. The stroll, which takes place on a 1.8m-wide walkway on the rim encircling the tower, demands human faith on the leaders, guides and the flimsy looking harness.

But take comfort, there are nine other similar sites around the world, all boasting a flawless safety record.
Lead your team to challenging heights – hold your next direction-shaping event at Macau Tower's 60th floor observation lounge, 233m above the ground. The spacious indoor deck, boasting marble floors and panoramic windows, can be closed to the public in order to host that board meeting or classroom-style session.
Capacity From 20 to 50 people. However, closing the venue for the whole day could cost between US$4,500/£2,348 and US$6,400/£3,339 including catering.
