Temple of Hong Chan Kuan in Mong Ha
Located at Avenida do Coronel Mesquita near to Pou Tchai Temple, the Temple of Hong Chan Kuan wasn't constructed later than in the 22nd year of Jiaqing Reign (1817). The existent temple was the one reconstructed in the 1st year of Guanxu Reign of the late Qing Dynasty (1875).
There are couplets on the gate:
"The comprehension of the essence of the Taoist doctrine that respects the celestial court provides supernatural power with which the island is protected."
There are two halls in the temple, dedicated respectively to Hong Kun and to Tin Hau. In the temple there is also a Tablet of Annals of the Temple of Hong Chan Kuan, erected in the reign of Guangxu, which relates the history of the temple.
Na Tcha Temple at Calcada das Verdades
The Na Tcha Ancient Temple by Calcada das Verdades is one of the two temples dedicated to Na Tcha.
There are couplets inscribed on the stone columns:
"Na Tcha enjoys a high reputation for his beneficence in the territory over two hundred years; he deserves a sanctuary for his achievements."
From the couplets of the late Qing Dynasty, it is known that the temple was constructed in the beginning of Qing Dynasty. The temple consists of main hall a worship pavilion. There was once an annual procession in commemoration of the anniversary of Na Tcha, with a history of more than one hundred years. It was interrupted later in the late nineties.
