Fok Tak Temple at Praia do Manduco
Located in Rua da Praia do Manduco, the Ancestral Temple of Fok Tak was a temple dedicated to Local God of Land, constructed in the seventh year of Tongzhi Reign (1868).
According to the inscriptions on the existent tablet of the twelfth year of Tongzhi Reign (1873), it is said: "In the village Ha Van, Local God of Land is worshipped, who is in charge of the whole village". For the remote location of the temple, its construction was finished in the seventh year of Tongzhi Reign with collected money. But in the thirteenth year of Tongzhi Reign, the temple was destroyed by a tempest, and then a reconstruction proceeded in the tenth year of Tongzhi Reign. The temple after construction is what we now see.
The ancestral Temple of Fok Tak of Ha Van is dedicated to Grandpa Weiling, that is, Local God of Land. Other gods like God of Wealth, God of Earth, God of Zhiwei, God of Fame and Tin Hau are also dedicated here. As one of the characteristics of the temple, the temple keeps over twenty tablets of the late Qing Dynasty and of the Republic of China, with time ascending to the foundation of the temple and passing from the seventh year of Tongzhi Reign to the thirties of the last century.
Temple of Fok Tak located at Horta e Mitra
The Ancestral Temple of Fok Tak at Horta e Mitra is hard to discover the date of it construction, which is constructed after the middle age of the Qing Dynasty.
According to the inscription on the existent of the exterior wall, erected in the 12th year of Guangxu Reign (1886), it is said: "Owing to the construction of road under the official order, the old ancestral temple dedicated to Local God of Land was moved to this place." The existent temple is the reconstructed one.
The temple is located in the official space of Horta e Mitra. Every 2nd of February of Lunar Calendar, there is a performance in commemoration of the anniversary of Local God of Land.
Temple of Fok Tak and Mou Tei Temple at Longtian
The Ancestral Temple of Fok Tak and Mou Tai Temple at former Longtian Village, which have been closed for a long time, are situated to the east of Pou Tchai Temple at Avenida do Coronel Mesquita.
The Longtian Village was one of the old villages in the suburb of Macao. In the 5th year of Guangxu Reign (1879), Portuguese occupied it and the residents were forced to move out. Later the Ancestral Temple of Fok Tak and Mou Tai Temple were reconstructed near to the Pou Tchai Temple in the land ceded by the Temple.
The two temple are dedicated to Grandpa Tou Tai, Grandma Tou Tai and God Kwan Tai, where there still are incense burners, wood flags, statues and incense-burning tables.
