Smaller Coloane Temples

Sam Seng Temple in Coloane

The Temple of Sam Seng (Three Divinities) is also called Temple of Kam Fa (Golden Flower), built in the 4th year of Tongzhi Reign (in 1865). The Temple is dedicated to three divinities: Empress of Kam Fa, Kun lam and Ancestral Master of Va Kuong.

It is written in the couplet on the door of the Temple of Golden Flowers: "Fairy spirit and auspicious air fill the salt bay; felicity and jubilation are bestowed to Coloane." The "salt bay" is the old name of Coloane, which also called Yanzaowan.

In 1988, the charity committee of four temples of Coloane raised funds and rebuilt the temple.

Kun Iam Temple in Coloane

Located in Coloane, the temple is one of small temples of Coloane.

Built in the 5th year of Jiaqing Reign (in 1880), the Temple was built in the 19th year of Daoguang Reign. It is one of the oldest temples in Coloane, secondary to the Temple of Tin Hau of Coloane.
The Temple is only dedicated to Kun lam. It is written on the stone couplet of the door, inscribed in the 8th year of Tongzhi Reign (in 1869): "The rain of divine power fills Coloane and celestial flowers spread colourings; the cloud of benevolence covers the land and the pattra leaves become articles."
